From the moment we checked in all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection which I'm sure would be ok for those with iffy eating requirements! Close by there is enough eating places/bars and super markets. Bus stop across the road and the metro close buy. We walked down to the Coliseum which took us around 35 minutes. You get what you pay for and maybe this hotel may be a little far off the main attraction route for some but for us it met all our requirements.

Wouldn't stay here again.

Although 10 minutes from the metro, I would not say it's a hotel for tourists more for conventions and business trips. A very run down area. Room clean, bed comfortable and breakfast good. If you don't mind the smell of weed walking passed the smokers stood outside of the hotel then this hotel is ok. Staff professional.

Wonderful staff / A very nice quiet hotel at a convenient and safe location

I am a returning guest of this wonderful hotel located in a safe residential area a 20-minute walk from Termini and a 15-minute walk from Roma Tuscolana. The train from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Tuscolana is only eight euros and takes 35-40 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants, places to get real coffee (and other drinks) and a supermarket within five minutes’ walk. Svetlana, Roberta and Giulia are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciated their warm welcome for a second year in a row. The hotel is a great quiet place to relax in the evening. Available are hundreds of TV and radio channels in Italian, English, German and French. I found the Wi-Fi to be reliable and fast when I needed to do some work during my December stay. The hotel is super clean and very well-maintained. The rooms are larger than what you would normally expect in Rome and are modern (and elegantly appointed). I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Stay at Eurostars Roma Aeterna

I want to share my observations on our recent stay at Hotel Eurostars Roma Aeterna. This was our first trip to Rome and we were unfamiliar with the hotels location and proximity to sights we were going to see on our tour. Full disclosure is our tour company picked out the hotel. I had many emails back and forth with the staff concerning our transportation to the hotel from FCO airport. The staff was very accommodating and helped us greatly make those arrangements. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and could not have been happier with the accommodations and staff. Our room was clean and refreshing completely updated and comfortable. The best part of the stay was the warmth and welcome we experienced from the staff. Whether at breakfast ( which was amazing ) or at the restaurant /lounge in the evening service was provided in top notch fashion. Always with a smile and great conversation with every staff member we encountered. Our room was refreshed every day and it felt like a new room every afternoon when we returned from sightseeing. When ( not if ) we return to Roma this will again be our home base. While this is the only hotel we stayed in while in Rome there is nothing that can be improved upon. The neighborhood the hotel is in is a wonderful place as well. We shopped in the area and visited the Piazza del Pignata. If you cannot tell we were more than pleased with the whole experience and again WILL return

My son decided he wanted to go to Italy for his birthday, so trying to book so late in the day and going during the children’s holidays I knew a lot of the hotels would be unavailable. After leaving it until just a few days before we were due to leave, I found the Eurostars and for a very good price that included breakfast, it is not always included in the price on some booking sites so check before you book and the city tax (Rome charges a city tax, per person based on the hotel ratings the higher the stars the more expensive it costs you per night). After a good flight from Liverpool, we were dropped off by our transfer next to Rome Termini train station. It was getting dark by the time we arrived but still early enough to walk to the hotel, big mistake ! It was over 2 miles away and google maps took us down some very scary streets with homeless people, who to be honest did not approach us thankfully. After what seemed like forever we finally arrived at the Hotel. It is not very noticeable from the street as the hotel is set back under a arch and down a small slope. We were greeted by a nice chap on reception who booked us in and answered any questions I had. The rooms did not disappoint and looked just as good as the photos online. We had 2 single beds with nice bed linen and a firm but comfortable mattress with 2 pillows each. There was a large bottle of water left for us to drink and a well stocked mini bar with soft drinks and a bag of crisps, we didn’t help ourselves to any of this as there was not a price list in the room so I have no idea how much you would be charged for these items. The bathroom was just as nice as the bedroom. The only disappointment was the TV, I know you don’t go to Rome to worry about what is on the television but out of the 7 or so channels only one was in English and it was a bit hit and miss if you could watch it as the signal kept going on and off. I had a restful nights sleep but my poor son caught a cold just before we arrived, so I headed down for breakfast alone. I walked into a large modern, breakfast room with nice furnishings and was shown to a table. Being vegetarian is always a worry abroad as there is normally very little I can eat. But that was not a problem at this hotel, there were 4 different cereals, 3 different milks, a good selection of hot foods, bacon scrambled eggs, sausage, vegetables and on the 2nd day hash browns. There was freshly squeezed orange juice and others to help yourself to along with yoghurts, pastries, fresh fruits and a good selection of breads to make into toast. There was also a continental breakfast section with salads, cheese and cold meats. Everything was fresh and delicious and constantly restocked. There was even a children’s corner with their own plates and foods that I thought was a nice touch. Heading back to my room full to bursting I had a shower before we left for a day of sightseeing. The shower was easy to use and powerful. There is also a safe in the room that is free of charge and a decent size to keep your valuables in. I did some online research and found the best way to get into Rome city centre was by catching the number 81 bus across the road from the hotel by a beautiful florist, you can buy the tickets from the newsagents just down from the bus stop, we chose the 48 hours pass that cost 12.50 euro that allows you to travel unlimited on the metro underground, buses, trams and some local trains. The bus took us to the colosseum about 10-15 mins in the morning traffic. It can be a little confusing where your meant to get off but I asked the bus driver and he told me which stop we needed. The weather was a mild 23 degrees, pleasant for early November so we walked the rest of the day to all the other sights we had wanted to see. We ended up on a bus that we had no idea where we were or where the hotel was, a passenger who spoke good English told us to jump off and head down to the metro as to get back to the hotel we needed line C. There are 3 different underground lines in Rome A and B being were all the main attractions are. If like us you come up out of line A from the Vatican, you then need to swop onto line C to get back to the Eurostars. Not all the stops have line C to change onto so you need to look for the C symbol on the list of the stations stops on each line. The C line brings you out by a children’s school, you need to walk to the end of the road and then turn left by the school follow the road up to a set of traffic lights then turn right it is a long straight road that brings you right back to the hotel. There is also a good selection of restaurants and bars just down from the hotel. My son’s birthday meal was 2 delicious large margarita pizzas a beer and a soft drink for £24 euros. Across the road from the hotel just past the buss stop is a selection of shops, the cheapest was called Penny’s and offered a good selection of food, drink and little gifts that you many want to take home as presents. There was also a pharmacy that I bought my son a nasal spray from for almost 7 euros the same item is £2 at home so definitely bring all medicines that you might need as they are much more expensive than in the U.K. The only down side to this hotel is the location, the area is not the best, if your a lady traveling alone then this might not be the best place to stay especially if your having to go out alone at night. I have to be totally honest I was not approached and found the people in the shops and restaurants very nice and helpful, maybe if I hadnt of traveled with my grown up son I might have felt more vulnerable. I think this is a lovely hotel, most definitely a 4 star the staff are pleasant and friendly, I just wish it was a little closer to Rome city centre but if it were the shops and the Hotel itself would be far more expensive. I would recommend this hotel and I would most definitely come back again for another visit 😊
